Flight, Fight, Freeze as a State of the Sympathetic Nervous System Rather than a Definition
A key for me is that flight, fight, or freeze is not a definition of the sympathetic nervous system, but one of its states. That we can, by exploring it, not be in flight, fight, or freeze – we can just be moving.
It’s really a good practice to see how you can be moved in a way you didn’t know how you were going to be moved, but not be afraid. How can we respond but be in a parasympathetic ground that supports that kind of being thrown off, so that we have the inner support of where we are?
