Relationship of the Gonads, Ankles, and Forelegs for Support, Stability, and Mobility
We often try to create forms, postures, and movements through skeletomuscular manipulation. This kind of manipulation can lead to the suppression of other body systems, including our endocrine glands and organs.
In this clip, we look at the gonads (ovaries and testes), which are both endocrine glands and organs, and their relationship to the forelegs and ankles.
An easy way to explore this relationship is in the yogic table posture. When we tuck our tail or pull up our abdomen to manipulate ourselves into the form of table, we suppress our gonadal energy (energetic flow through the gonads). It also cuts off the relationship and energy flow between our gonads and our forelegs and ankles, and between our gonads and head.
From this perspective, the gonads have a direct connection to the forelegs and ankles. If there is an issue with the forelegs and/or ankles, going to/working with the gonads can be helpful.
