    ATTENDING LIVE CLASSES

Bonnie’s 2023 Spring Series and The Role of the Brain classes are hosted through Zoom in a webinar format. We will send you a personal link to join the class about 24 hours and 2 hours before each class begins. Each class will have a different link.

We simultaneously broadcast the class on YouTube Live. If you have any issues in Zoom, or do not like to use Zoom, you can attend the class on YouTube Live. We will include the YouTube Live link when we send you the Zoom link.

Classes are held in a webinar format which means only Bonnie and her team's audio and webcams will be enabled. Although we (and other participants) won't be able to see or hear you, we love the communal engagement that happens through the chat.

We recommend you wear comfortable clothing. Bonnie often sits on a ball while teaching. A ball is not necessary for class – you can participate anywhere, in any position, in stillness, in movement, in silence, with sound and vocalization.

Pay attention to what your needs are. Modulate your energy, attention, and focus to what you are needing in each moment.

    CHAT GUIDELINES

The Zoom and YouTube Live chats will be enabled for the 2023 Spring Series and The Role of the Brain classes.

The chat is a place for you to share your experience in class with Bonnie and other participants, and we encourage you to communicate with Bonnie and each other through the chat. As we aren’t able to be with each other in person, it’s a wonderful way to connect with each other in class if you want to.

The Zoom chat for each class will be made available to all participants of Bonnie's 2023 Spring Series and The Role of the Brain. We will upload the chat for each class when the recording of that class is ready.

Reading the full Zoom and YouTube Live chat — what you are experiencing during class, your questions, general comments, etc. — allows Bonnie to connect with participants and better prepare for the next class. It also brings her great joy!

Advertising your classes, events, or services in the chat is not permitted. This is a space for sharing your experiences, thoughts, and questions about the material Bonnie is presenting.

    ZOOM CHAT POPUPS

The chat is an important part of each class. It is a way for people to communicate with each other and with Bonnie. Participants can share their experiences, questions, thoughts, links to further research and resources. Body-Mind Centering® is based on community – the chat is a way we build community during the online classes.

If you prefer not to see the Zoom chat message popup notifications, you can hide them by clicking on the ^ option next to the chat button and unchecking "Show Chat Previews".

In addition to hosting classes on Zoom, we simultaneously broadcast them on YouTube Live. Please choose which platform works best for you.

If you are unable to hide the Zoom chat, we recommend going to the class on YouTube Live.

Sending Messages in the Zoom chat:

    • If you would like to share something with the entire group, choose Everyone in the drop down menu in chat before you send your message.
    • If you would like to share something with just panelists (Bonnie and her team), choose Hosts and panelists in the drop down menu in chat before you send your message.

    FREE RESOURCES

Free supplementary videos to deepen your practice.

Perceiving Your Weight of Consciousness as a Practice: Perception & the Nervous System
This is an exploration on perceiving where the weight of your consciousness is.

Perceiving Your Weight of Consciousness as a Practice: Trauma and Pain
This is one perspective of trauma and pain.

The Nervous System as a Recording System
Bonnie speaks about the nervous system as a recording system and the difference between the brain informing cells and cells informing the brain.

Sitting in the Synapse in the Posterior Horns of the Spinal Cord
Sitting in the synapse is about simply receiving information. Not doing anything about it – not thinking about it, not being sensitive about it, not wondering what it feels like.

The Nervous System and Processing Information
Bonnie speaks about how to take in information, sit with what is without doing anything about, and to be with information in a way that doesn't stimulate your nervous system to re-experience it.

Flight, Fight, Freeze as a State of the Sympathetic Nervous System Rather than a Definition
Bonnie speaks about flight, fight, and freeze as a state of the sympathetic nervous system rather than a definition.

Cellular Memory and Consciousness | Healing Trauma and Restrictive Patterns
By going back to the embryology, what I found is, I've been able to, with others, to go underneath some of the patterns that are restricting, before there was the restriction. At the same time discovering the restriction.

Receiving Information through Sensory Nerves versus Motor Nerves
In the nervous system, for motor acts, information comes in through the the back part of the spinal cord (sensory nerves) comes out through the front (motor nerves). The same pathway exists in the brain.

Supporting the Nervous System through Exploring the Weight and Flow of Blood
Embryologically, blood develops before the nervous system is formed. Nerves follow the pathways laid down by the blood.

Glial Cells and the Nervous System
Glial cells are the foundational support for the nervous system.

Following the Internal Flow of Movement Guides the Nervous System
Following the internal flow of movement, whether we are working hands-on with someone else or working with our self, allows the nervous system to record that the movement is coming from inside.

Awareness through the Nervous System Versus Awareness through the Direct Experience of the Cells
From my experience in researching through embodiment, there is an organization within the tissues themselves that underlies the organization by the nervous system.

    Nerve Reversal and Healing
Bonnie speaks about what happens in the nervous system when more information comes in than we can process.

Relationship of the Individual Fingers with the Shoulder Girdle
The direct connection of each finger to specific parts of the shoulder.

Relationship of the Individual Fingers with the Shoulder Girdle and Ribs
The direct connection of each finger to specific parts of the shoulder and ribs.

Relationship of the Individual Toes with the Pelvic Bones
The direct connection of each individual toes to specific parts of the pelvic bones.

    Exploring Fat as a Fluid
What happens when you explore fat as a dynamic fluid rather than resist or repress it?

Free Your Spine through Changing How You Transfer Your Weight
The pubic disk is the keystone of legs. That means transferring our weight through the pubic disk rather than the sacrum can free our spine.

    An Introduction to Embryonic Breathing
This video is an introduction to embryonic breathing. I share my story and experience with embryonic breathing, the anatomy of embryonic breathing, and a somatization to guide you through your own exploration of embryonic breathing.

    Embryonic Breathing
A short video on Bonnie demonstrating embryonic breathing in a class with participants. The participants share their experience of what it feels like.

    Embryology

    Fear of Falling
Bonnie responds to the question, "How can we learn to balance if we’re afraid of falling?".

Bowing from the Heart Versus Bowing From the Head (Nervous System)
Embryologically, the heart begins as two tubes that join together in front of the mouth, which is above the brain at this point in development.

Heart–Brain Connection through Embodying Our Embryological Development
Feel how your brain follows your heart and brings your mouth with it. Your brain, your heart, and your mouth are one unit. When we say, ‘speak from your heart’, we’re going back to the embryology because that’s where our heart joined. The right and left sides joined in front of our mouth.

Opening and Strengthening the Heart through the Consciousness of Embodiment (Class 1)
This is a recording of class 1 Bonnie's 2021 Spring Series on Opening and Strengthening the Heart through the Consciousness of Embodiment: A Body-Mind Centering® Approach. We have made it free for everyone.

    A Nontraditional Approach to Spasticity
Bonnie responds to the question, "What are your thoughts about spasticity?".
